Community Lunch was a great success

Thank you for a wonderful Community Lunch

We had a fantastic Community Lunch on Wednesday. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make it a warm and welcoming occasion. It was wonderful to see so many people share a meal, catch up with neighbours and enjoy each other’s company. Events like this are what community is all about. The atmosphere in the room made all the hard work worthwhile.

Why our Community Lunch matters

Lunches like this do far more than put food on the table. They give people a reason to step out of the house. Guests enjoyed a good meal and a good chat with friendly faces. Some were old friends, and others had only just met. There was plenty of laughter throughout the event. It was lovely to see new connections form across the tables.

Thank you to our volunteers and partners

A special thank you goes to our volunteers, including Maria. We also thank our Trustees, Jenny Tucker and Cllr Kevin Tillett for Hinton & Hunderton. They gave their time and energy to keep everything running smoothly. Their hard work behind the scenes, from setting up to welcoming guests, made all the difference.

We’d also like to thank the wonderful Epics from Close House Projects, whose enthusiasm and help were much appreciated, and the Kindle Team, whose support was invaluable. It’s a real pleasure to work alongside such caring and committed people, and their contribution helped create the friendly atmosphere that everyone enjoyed.

Join us next time

We couldn’t have done it without you all. We are already looking forward to seeing everyone at the next one! Whether you came along this time or hope to join us in future, you’ll always be welcome. Bring a friend or neighbour, or come along on your own. Keep an eye on our What’s On page for our next Community Lunch and other upcoming events.
