Accessibility

We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, whatever their needs or circumstances, and we're committed to making both our website and The Kindle Centre itself as accessible as we reasonably can.

Website accessibility

We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at AA level. In practice, this means working towards a site where you can:

  • Navigate using a keyboard alone
  • Use the site with screen reader software
  • Zoom in up to 200% without loss of content or function
  • Read text with good colour contrast against its background

We're aware that some parts of the site may not yet fully meet this standard — for example, [known gaps, e.g. older PDF documents, embedded room booking forms, image sliders without full alt text]. We're working to address these over time.

If you find any part of this site difficult to use, or need information in a different format, please get in touch at info@kindlecentre.org.uk or 01432 278070 and we'll do our best to help.

Accessibility of the venue

Separately from the website, if you're planning to visit or hire a room at The Kindle Centre, we're pleased to say several rooms already note their own accessibility features — for example, Office Q is fully accessible by lift. For full details of step-free access, accessible toilets, hearing loops, and accessible parking across the building, contact us directly before your visit so we can make sure the space suits your needs.

Reporting a problem

If you experience any accessibility barrier on this website, please let us know so we can look into it. Contact us at info@kindlecentre.org.uk, including the page you were trying to use and a description of the difficulty, and we'll aim to respond within [X working days].
